Deserves more than a limited character response…
VistaPrint / Moo / AnOther will make you a gazzillion shiny cards for pennies, and you will fuss over the design for days to make it appear hip-yet-business-like and it will look cool I’m sure. You will give out about 20 of these things and put the remaining 180 in a drawer never to be seen again. The ones you actually do give out will be thrown in the trash because everyone uses the same services and gets the same cards and they have no value.
What if someone gave you a card they had literally written themselves in their neatest script with an italic pen and they added a picture of duck smoking a cigar? Personally I would keep that card forever even if I didn’t want what they were selling.
This guy is absolutely bang on the money even if the way he says it is hilarious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YBxeDN4tbk

I’ve used Vistaprint for free business cards. Their website and designs aren’t very good, though.
